Foot Condition

CALLUSES

Calluses are thick patches of skin that develop when the foot is subjected to excessive friction and pressure. This skin forms a protective layer over the foot to make it less vulnerable to injury. Calluses are often found on those who may spend a lot of time walking barefoot outdoors or improper foot alignment of foot. They can become exceedingly rough and dry and in some cases the callus may start to crack. Calluses can be easily managed with a daily routine of exfoliation and moisturizing. They can also be treated by shaving by podiatrist or self-treat by using pumi bars, foot soaks or filing them down.
